Emmerdale Extravaganza
By all reports Richard and John had a great day at the Emmerdale extravaganza. A great success, Richard flew most of the day and the public were treated to a great display of models and jets. See Photo's HERE and HERE
FlightTech, (http://www.flighttech.co.uk/) , have offered pilot sponsorship to Richard Boyd for the 2008 season. Over the last 12 months Richard has been integral in the development and promotion of indoor flying in Northern Ireland. He designed and produced the now infamous "Doodle Bug" EPP Plane which has revolutionised indoor flying. After the usual problems he organised a superb indoor meet at the Jetmasters where we were all treated to a demonstration of F3p-A Pattern flying and the unreal aero Musical by Derk Van der Vecht. Congratulations to John Pearson DungannonMFC for being elected as Northern Ireland Press Officer for the BMFA . A Great asset to the club, John is a keen flyer and is heavely involved with the Northern Ireland Model Jet scene. You can contact John HERE If you have an event that needs some publicity.
Permission was granted at our AGM to try and host an F3p indoor Competition. After the very successful event hosted by Banbridge AMC we are going to have our work cut out but I'm sure we'll get there in the end. The likely venue will be Dungannon Leisure Centre with the possibility of Cookstown as well. For further Info Go Here
Our Club instructors have agreed to start the process of A and B Certifates. The last Sat in January (26th) was agreed at the AGM as a day for the examinations to take place so get reading and practicing if you want do do the tests.
